September 2020

Dear One.

The summer is over and I did not even have a taste of it... except for the fruit.
Today the temperature is over 100 degrees. I am so grateful we have air-conditioning.
And then I am reminded of the time I lived in Ca. and the fires.
One moment, I am grateful, and the next, I can lose myself in the boredom and the tediousness
of the days.
I have not been out of the house since the 14th of March except to see the DRS.
This has been a challenging time over which I have no control.
What a lesson... no control!!!
I get angry, often frustrated, and do not hold a space of compassion for myself or others.
Then I stop.  I ask G-d to help me live the teaching:  "Help me to have the faith even when I cannot see."

I found this teaching by Albert Camus:

He said, "In the midst of the hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love.
In the midst of the tears, I found there was an invincible smile,
In the midst of the chaos, I found there was within me an invincible calm.
I realized throughout the winter, I found within me, there was an invincible summer.
And that makes me happy.
 For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me,
 there's something stronger-something better, pushing right back."

And
this is what I am coming to know... there is always a choice between love and fear.  The lessons are always present, and so are the choices.
That is why we have incarnated... to learn this and to experience this. We are not powerless. We are not the victims.
The power is in the choice;
In choosing, we choose to rise again and again to the perfection of the Soul and we keep opening our hearts to ourselves and to each other,
Are you willing to commit to healing the world?  Loving it all is the answer.

I heard Marianne Williamson say:
"The love in one of us is the love in all of us"... Close your eyes for a moment, place your hand on your heart and feel the pulse of life/love in yourself, in the next person, and imagine  the world
filled with love... feel it vibrate through you, as you send it to the next person.  We are the channels for love.   We are LOVE.

Join me in saying the Prayer of St. Francis:
Lord,
Make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred,let me sow love:
Where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt,  faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness.
                  JOY.
This month  read these words over and over.  Make them yours.
It is the time of Awakening... Do not Fall asleep!!!
Let us join hands and say "Yes!" to be LOVE.

My love and support,
Barbara Azzara (Glabman-Cohen)
